45 years old Female had Fractured Shaft of Radius-Ulna on a physical assault. She was initially maltreated by a traditional bone setter.

Diagnosis: Fracture shaft of Radius & Ulna

Name of Operation: ORIF with DCP

Anaesthesia: Brachial Block

A 56Y M fishermen fractured his arm bone which was conservatively treated initially. Unfortunately the reduction was not acceptable. He was non-diabetic, normotensive. After adequate evaluation he was scheduled for surgery.

Open Reduction and Internal Fixation with Dynamic Compression Plate (narrow DCP) was done under GA. Anterior Henry approach was used.

His postoperative period was uneventful. Wound was good with intact distal neurovascular status. There was progressive sign of fracture union in consequent x-rays.

Now he can move his left upper limb as usual, lift heavy objects.
