Hemiarthroplasty | Trochanter Fracture [CN-240314]
Hip Hemiarthroplasty was done on A 70 years old female who was experiencing pain in her left hip after she fell on a slippery ground. She was unable to stand or walk since then. She had difficulty in moving her left lower limb, sitting upright & was unable to squat.
On Examination, her left lower limb was shorter than right, rotated outward, tenderness on left groin on deep palpation. There was proximal femoral shortening on Bryant’s Triangle.
After getting plain radiograph she was diagnosed with Fracture Trochanter (right).
Diagnosis: Fracture Trochanter (right)
Name of Operation: Replacement Hemiarthroplasty of Femoral Component c Bone cement
Anaesthesia: SAB
Postoperative period: Uneventful.

Hip Hemiarthroplasy on 9 months old Fracture Neck Femur [CN-231204]
38 year old autistic male had fractured his femoral neck 9 months earlier. He was unable to walk. Skeletal traction was applied for 1 month. Then operation was done. Now patient can stand and walk.
Diagnosis: Fracture Neck of Femur (9 months old)
Name of Operation: Replacement Hemiarthroplasty of Femoral Component with cemented bipolar prosthesis

Total Hip Replacement [CN-231203]
Hip Hemiarthroplasty was done on A 52 years old female for fracture neck femur. She is diabetic & hypertensive. Unfortunately there was surgical site infection which was not improved. Bipolar prosthesis was removed. After infection was subsided she was planned for total hip replacement.
Diagnosis: Infected bipolar prosthesis
