Fracture Shaft of Humerus | ORIF [CN-220513]

A 56Y M fishermen fractured his arm bone which was conservatively treated initially. Unfortunately the reduction was not acceptable. He was non-diabetic, normotensive. After adequate evaluation he was scheduled for surgery.

Open Reduction and Internal Fixation with Dynamic Compression Plate (narrow DCP) was done under GA. Anterior Henry approach was used.

His postoperative period was uneventful. Wound was good with intact distal neurovascular status. There was progressive sign of fracture union in consequent x-rays.

Now he can move his left upper limb as usual, lift heavy objects.
